Today, I want to share with you a selection of my absolute favourites – each one offering a unique slice of classic British charm that could be the perfect backdrop for your special day, whether you are British yourself, or coming across the pond for an all out British wedding venue experience.
Hedsor House – Buckinghamshire
Nestled just an hour west of Central London and only 25 minutes from Heathrow, Hedsor House is a stunning country estate wedding venue that epitomises British elegance. You’ll fall in love with the beautiful balcony area and the truly remarkable getting ready space/honeymoon suite – one of the best I’ve ever seen! With exclusive hire available for weddings, you can truly make the venue your own. One of the standout features is the option for extended celebrations, with a package that includes multiple nights of accommodation. 10-11 CHT – Central London
For a wedding with a distinctly urban and historic vibe, 10-11 CHT is a hidden gem in the bustling heart of London, near Charing Cross and Pall Mall. This venue’s stunning historic building features various delightful event spaces across buildings 10 and 11, and you have the choice to hire one, or both! The option to hire both spaces exclusively means you can create a seamless flow throughout your day, whether you’re looking for a cosy ceremony or an elegant cocktail reception. While this venue doesn’t offer on-site accommodation, its prime central location means your guests will have no trouble finding a variety of charming hotels and guesthouses nearby.

Kelmarsh Hall – Northamptonshire
Kelmarsh Hall is one of those British wedding venues that immediately transports you to a bygone era. This exclusive country house in Northamptonshire is steeped in history and offers a uniquely intimate atmosphere for your wedding day. Kelmarsh Hall is flexible in the suppliers you use, so as well as having a house exclusive to you, their flexibility enables you to bring your personality to your day. One of my favourite features is the beautifully appointed getting ready area – a perfect, serene space to prepare for the day’s festivities. Although there isn’t on-site accommodation, the surrounding area is dotted with lovely B&Bs, hotels, and even a local lodge, ensuring your guests have comfortable places to stay. Portfolio Events is there inhouse, award winning caterer, who will really wow your guests with their menu options on the day.

Knowsley Estate – Merseyside
For a blend of grandeur and classic British style, Knowsley Estate is an excellent wedding venue option. Located just outside Liverpool, this private hotel is the epitome of period charm. With a beautiful, stately staircase and an exclusive atmosphere, Knowsley Estate offers a setting that is both elegant and intimate.
