Generally appropriate for an evening style wedding Generally appropriate for an evening style wedding or a wedding with a later start (very popular in American culture!) Guys were full black suits with a bow tie, and ladies in formal, floor length dresses in generally darker shades or ‘evening gown’ fabrics such as silks an satins. Definitely makes your day feel high end and adds a touch of class! Doesn’t really work for weddings with an earlier start or weddings such as marquee on lawns etc. Think hotel weddings, historical venues, with a later start time and this is your dress code!
