The quintessentially English county of Hampshire, set in the South of England, on the coast of England, overlooking the Isle of Wight, and home to some absolutely stunning, grand  wedding venues Hampshire, and I have 7 of them to show you!

Finding your perfect wedding venue can be tricky, and my top tip for you is that you will know when you find the right one! You may have heard this a lot before, but it is honestly how you will feel when you find the right venue for you. You will walk in and know it’s the right one!

Froyle Park, Hampshire

A divine, Jacobean house set just outside of Alton, only 40 minutes from London, one of the perfect wedding venues Hampshire, which can accommodate up to 300 guests. I actually managed a gorgeous Asian wedding here back in 2019 on a sunny July day. The venue is dry hire, so you will bring all of your own suppliers in, including on the day manager, catering and bar, although they do have a preferred caterer and charge for use of an external caterer, which is pretty much the norm nowadays, as a caterer reflects on the venue in your guests eyes, even though it is out of their control.
What I absolutely love about this venue is the gorgeous dome in the gardens, overlooking the sheep fields and countryside, under which you can be married. It is such a tranquil space. There are also other spaces available to use for your ceremony.
The Grand Ballroom also works so well for the wedding reception, holding up to 300 guests, and with a neutral colour palette, will match any style you decide to go for. You tend to find that many ballrooms have a garish carpet or wall colour, but this is completely neutral, and is a really light and airy space. There are also self contained apartments onsite which are great for getting ready rooms, and bedrooms for your guests to stay overnight.
The sweeping staircase down into the Grand Hall will give you some really impressive shots, as well as having many other locations across the estate for your photographer to capture that all important hero shot!

Avington Park Wedding Venue

An exquisite, grade I listed building which I’ve listed as one of the 7 wedding venues Hampshire, which is still a private family estate, which can be a difficult find nowadays. Booking a private estate comes with the benefit that as the family still live there, the day will generally be exclusive to you, they generally have a limited number of weddings a year, and they really care that your day is perfect because it is their home.
With 150 acres of land, there are so many idyllic spots in the gardens for your photographer to capture you at your finest, and for your guests to mill around whilst drinking champagne on a summers day.
There are various beautiful spaces for your ceremony and reception, including the Versailles room which has a stunning, gold adorned, statement ceiling, hand painted by renowned artist Antonio Verrio, from the Palace of Versailles. The room just sells itself and is such an incredible space that you would really need minimal décor!
I also absolutely love the orangery, with so much light beaming through, opening out onto the lawns, with it’s very own living walls of lemon and lime trees! This space is perfect if you want to really feel the outdoors inside, or if you want an outdoor wedding protruding out onto the patio.
Owned by the Crown for 300 years, there has been many a royal soiree in the spot you will sit on your wedding day!

Farnham Castle Weddings

Formally the residence to the Bishops of Winchester, built by William the conqueror’s grandson, this impressive castle is steeped in history. The castle has been visited by many a Queen, King and Bishop over the years, including Queen Elizabeth I herself and is now one of the beautiful wedding venues in Hampshire.

What I love about this venue, is not only do they have spaces for a civil ceremony, but they also have 2 chapels onsite for a Church of England service, so you won’t have to travel far! Both buildings are beautiful and equally full of history.

The Lantern Hall is one of my favourite spaces, with a light beaming through the domed windows, and a neutral colour palette, so suitable for any colour scheme you choose.

The Great Hall is then the perfect space for your reception, it even has a gallery overlooking the space, perfect for that hero shot of you both overlooking your party – this is also where the bar is situated on a mezzanine floor! All catering is provided inhouse using local produce, which saves having to find your own caterer.

 

 

Farnham Castle Hampshire

Northbrook Park in Farnham, Hampshire

A stunning, ivy covered Georgian house located in Farnham, a wedding venue Hampshire, which creates a backdrop for such an iconic shot of you both! The house is actually residential, but it still gives a really wow factor on the day and for your photographs.

The Vine Room is an impressive space, licensed for ceremonies, another with a neutral colour palette, marble floors and natural light beaming through. The room also has an outdoor terrace area leading to the gardens and a beautiful, original fireplace at the top of the aisle. You can also use this space for up to 120 for your reception.
 
The Orangery is the perfect space for your reception, holding up to 250 guests, and it also has a living wall inside, continuing the theme of the ivy covered mansion!
 
You will be greeted by a stunning, friendly peacock! He absolutely loves to be a part of your day!
 
The venue offer a list of many caterers that you can use, giving you flexibility depending on what you are looking for.

Lainston House

Set in 63 acres of land within Hampshire, this quintessential wedding venue is available for up to 120 guests. A hotel venue with 50 rooms available for your guests of all into bed after the celebrations, but which also can be hired exclusively if you want the whole hotel to yourselves for the day!

The building dates back as far as 1683 when commissioned by Charles II and designed by architect Sir Christopher Wren. The venue was turned into a hotel in the 1980s, but was lived in as a private house until then.

There is an option to get married outside under their beautiful pavilion, and also various spaces within the house. The maximum capacity within the house is 50 guests, but they also have the Dawley Barn which holds up to 120.

Pylewell Park Wedding Venue

An extremely grand, country house wedding venue, which has won many awards and featured in the likes of Tatler, so you can really feel like royalty for the day. Based in Lymington, on the south coast of England, the even has it’s own private access to the beach!

There are 13 bedrooms onsite which you can hire for your wedding party, with elegant copper baths and views overlooking the countryside. The whole site is available exclusively across two nights, so there are no worries about anyone else being in and around the house at the same time as your party.

The Pavilion is available as a beautiful, blank canvas space for you, available for up to 150 guests on rustic style chairs and tables and 200 guests in the evening. You can even take your own drinks! The house is also available for your ceremony before your celebrations.

Four Seasons Hampshire

A luxury Georgian house hotel, set in 500 acres of rolling countryside in the heart of Hampshire. As a hotel, the venue has 21 bedrooms and a civil ceremony license, so you can have everything in one place, not having to worry about your guests travelling to different places for the ceremony and for their accommodation.

The ballroom is a beautifully elegant space, available for up to 200 seated guests and 250 for your evening celebrations. With a neutral design and no pillars (quite unusual for a ballroom!) the space is perfect for any colour schemes or décor which you have in mind.
