After months, or maybe even years, of planning, it can suddenly feel like there are a million little things left to do. Final payments, seating plans, supplier timings, speeches, fittings, RSVPs, music choices and DIY projects. And somewhere amongst all of that, you’re actually supposed to be getting excited about getting married!

If you’re feeling a little wedding stress creeping in, don’t panic. Pretty much all of the big decisions have been made, and we’re now in the final month. Which is basically about wrapping up all the little elements that bring it all together!

So, if you’re saying “what should I do in the final month before my wedding?”, here’s what we recommend adding to your final month wedding to do list.

Finalise Your Wedding Day Logistics

By now, you should have a pretty good idea of what your timeline looks like and what moving parts are happening throughout the day, so let’s just finalise those timings and make sure it all works.

Think about when you’re getting ready, how early everyone needs to be where, and make sure your bridesmaids know what time they have to be in the chair! Work out what time suppliers are arriving, who is greeting them, when the ceremony starts and when you need to be ready, who is greeting your guests and at what time, when photographs are happening and when food is being served.

Reconfirm delivery and arrival times with your suppliers too. It might be that your florist is actually able to get into the venue the day before, and that may work better for them. Know what time your photographer is arriving and tell them where they need to be going. You don’t want to be giving them directions whilst having your makeup done!

Check what time your cake is arriving and, if it’s going to be a hot day like we’re having this year, does it need to go straight into a fridge? Your band will also want to know when they can load their equipment in, but you don’t want that happening while you’re eating if they’re going to be setting up in the same room as your wedding breakfast.

If you’re having a marquee wedding, dry hire wedding or lots of different suppliers, this becomes even more important.

Chase Those Final RSVPs

If there are still guests who haven’t replied, now is definitely the time to chase them. You need the final numbers to send to your caterer and venue, especially when it comes to those dietary requirements!

You’ll also need your final numbers so you can complete your seating plan. It’s also a good idea to let your venue or coordinator know if any of your guests may need extra help on the day, if they have restricted mobility, or if any guests are only coming for small parts of the day, such as just the ceremony instead of the whole day.

Finalise Your Seating Plan

Once your RSVPs are in, you can finally finish your seating plan! Yay, what a task…

This can sometimes feel like the world’s hardest puzzle, particularly when you’re working out who gets along with who and where on earth to put Uncle Bob! But really, it’s 2 hours of their life, so don’t overthink it too much.

Once it’s decided, you can get it printed or ordered and have your place cards, table numbers, and menus all sorted too. Make sure you double, no, triple check spellings before anything gets printed. Don’t rush it!

Confirm Your Music, Vows And Speeches

This is a big old task, well, it feels like it. Deciding on your first dance song is not the only music you need for your big day. You also need:

• The getting ready playlist, obviously. But feel free to delegate that job to a bridesmaid!
• Ceremony music for guests entering
• Bride aisle entrance songs
• Signing the register music, usually three songs
• Ceremony exit song
• Entrance into the wedding breakfast, with waving napkins obviously!
• First dance
• Second dance, sometimes? It’s a bit old-fashioned, but some couples still do parent dances after the first dance. It’s cute, we like it.
• End of the night song!

Honestly, the end of the night song is so massively underrated. You want to end that night on the dance floor on a high, so make sure it’s a good one.

If you’re having live musicians, make sure they have everything they need too. Make sure you know well enough in advance who is playing the music and, if it’s on a Spotify playlist, download it. Do not rely on dodgy WiFi!

And don’t leave your vows or speeches until the night before! Practising out loud can be cringey, but it’s worthwhile and will help you work out where to pause, breathe and make any last-minute changes.

Book Your Final Appointments

Now is the time to get all of your final beauty appointments booked and in the diary, as well as making sure your wedding outfits are completely sorted.

We’re talking haircuts, nails, lashes, brows, tan, waxing, facials or any other treatments you usually have. Make sure everything is booked well in advance, but not too close to the wedding day. It’s a fine balance!

Please do not try something new, including, but not limited to, a new hair colour, dramatic haircut or brand new skincare product. Your wedding morning is not the moment for surprises!

It’s also time for your final dress fitting, including any bridesmaid alterations, and to make sure your suit fits properly and all of your accessories are sorted. Oh, and don’t forget to break in your wedding shoes! We’re talking the grooms as well as the brides on this one. We do not need blisters and sore feet on the day.

Finish Your DIY Projects

If you’ve been working on your own stationery, decorations or personal details, then this is the time to get them all finished, and please do not start anything new because you feel your wedding suddenly needs something you’ve seen in a TikTok reel!

When it’s done, pack everything away into labelled boxes so it doesn’t get damaged and so whoever is setting it up knows what it is. We don’t want to be stressed the day before trying to locate things. 

Prepare A Small Emergency Kit

It’s always handy to have a small emergency kit, especially if you don’t have a coordinator.

Just a small bag with plasters, deodorant, stain remover wipes, safety pins, hair grips, tissues and anything you might need for quick makeup touch-ups, like your lipstick, perfume, hairspray and maybe some mints! Make sure someone knows where it is. You don’t need to carry it around, but make sure it’s nearby and not in the car or locked away in your hotel room!

Don’t Forget What Happens At The End Of The Night

Often forgotten, but have you thought about who is taking your cards and gifts home? Who is collecting all your personal items at the end of the night? What happens to leftover alcohol? Who is taking the cake? Are there decorations or hired items that need returning?

Make these decisions before the wedding day and make sure you know when your suppliers are coming in to collect their things, such as the florist or furniture hire company. If you’re nominating someone to be responsible for these things, make sure they’re aware of their responsibilities in advance. You don’t want to be standing outside your venue at midnight with logistical details and then taking a big, deep breath!

Your timeline, supplier contacts, arrival times, seating plan, dietary requirements, ceremony details, music choices and setup information are all finalised, and we know what your day is going to look like.

Us being your wedding coordinator isn’t about planning your wedding for you. It’s about dealing with all the weird, random, and very real things that happen on a wedding day so that you don’t have to. These are the moments that don’t make it onto Instagram, but they happen at almost every wedding in one way or another.

While Instagram would have you believe our days are spent fluffing dresses and directing suppliers, the reality can be quite different. Here are 10 very real reasons to hire a wedding coordinator.

1. To Brush The Knots Out Of Your Hair

Let’s start with one of the real wedding issues. You’ve spent hours getting ready, and your hair looks perfect. The photographer is happily snapping away, the veil is veiling in the breeze, and the photos are stunning.

Then all of a sudden, you’ve just spent 20 minutes outside in a field having photos taken, and your hair has developed a knot the size of a tennis ball. 

We’ve brushed knots out of brides’ hair, untangled veils from jewellery, rescued hair accessories, we’ve got your lipstick on hand for a touch-up and generally acted as emergency hair and makeup assistants throughout the day. 

2. To Take The Stitches Out Of Your Jacket

This happens more often than you might think. Did you know that the stitches on the vents on the back of your jackets and coats are supposed to be removed? 

We’ve had it numerous times, a groom arrives looking fantastic, and we give them the once over, make sure buttonholes are all aligned, shirts tucked in, ties all matching, then they turn around, and the vents are still stitched, or a label still attached, or a pocket sewn shut. 

Mild panic, but fear not, out come the small emergency scissors from my trusty bag. It’s one of those tiny details that nobody notices until somebody notices.

3. To Unblock A Portaloo

We cannot stress enough that not every part of wedding coordination is glamorous.

If you’re having a marquee wedding or an outdoor wedding, there is a fairly high chance that, at some point, a real toilet-related issue will happen.

A blocked toilet, running out of toilet paper, and a lock that won’t work and often no soap! These are not things you need to be dealing with whilst enjoying your wedding day! You keep singing away on the dancefloor with your guests while we deal with the loo situation.

4. To Make Sure Your Guest Book Is Actually Signed

We can’t tell you how many beautiful guest books we’ve seen sitting untouched at weddings, even if a bridesmaid has been assigned the responsibility of making sure it’s filled in. 

Couples spend ages choosing them, designing them and deciding on the perfect place for them, but then everyone gets distracted by chatting, drinking and dancing, and completely forget they exist, and then it’s the end of the night, and it’s only your mum, maid of honour and a random cousin who have left you a message. 

We proactively and gently encourage your guests to sign it throughout the day, and move to the appropriate spaces where they are, so you actually have something lovely to read and remember the day by!

5. To Round Up Guests For Group Photos

Another real wedding issue we see on the day is family photos. Family photos should take twenty minutes, but sometimes they take an hour! Why? Because someone has disappeared! Uncle at the bar, grandma in the toilet, brother catching up with a mate he hasn’t seen for 5 years! 

Photographers shouldn’t be spending half their time hunting people down, and they don’t have the time to, they want to get your photos done so you can enjoy your guests, canapes and drinks! It’s also not up to you to be tracking them down/calling them, or shouting across a courtyard. 

We’ll find them, and normally pretty quickly!

6. To Carry All The Random Things Nobody Else Wants To Carry

At some point during every wedding, people start handing things to the bride. A card, your handbag, a mini fan, hand cream, your phone, lipstick, sunglasses, a room key, and a half glass of prosecco that you just don’t get to finish! Then all of a sudden you’re carrying half your wedding around with you, and it’s all a bit much, you start leaving things on tables and can’t remember where your room key is at the end of the night! 

No fear, we are here, we become the keepers of all the random things, so you don’t have to.

It’s not a big job, but it’s one of those small things that make a massive difference. Because you should be holding a drink during your drinks reception, not your room key!

7. To Pin Buttonholes Back On

Buttonholes are wonderful, until they’re not. Unfortunately, it is quite common for a buttonhole to go floppy, or get caught up in a hug and need to be pinned back onto a jacket. 

And these moments usually happen just before a ceremony starts, before family photos or just before someone walks down the aisle. Thankfully, safety pins and wedding coordinators are both pretty resourceful.

8. Fixing Your Dress

“Chief fluffer” is a title we hold with pride. We will fix and fluff your dress and veil before you walk down the aisle, in the photos, before you make an entrance. We will help button up when you first get your dress on, bustle your dress ready for your first dance, take off your veil when you’re done with it, and make sure the strap hasn’t slipped off your shoulder!

But we will also FIX your dress, and by fix we mean actually fix, whether it’s been torn on a loose floorboard or caught on some wooden panelling, or maybe the fit on that seam just wasn’t it. We will snip those frayed edges, stitch a hole, pin a strap, and tape that dress to your body to make sure no one is any the wiser. Real issues that no one even considers are going to be a problem.

9. To Light 100 Candles

Pinterest makes candlelit weddings look effortless, but what Pinterest doesn’t show you is the person or people running around with a lighter trying to light about 100 candles just before guests enter the room.

Candles don’t light themselves, and neither do lanterns, pathway lights or fire pits. So whilst you’re enjoying your drinks reception and having photographs taken, we’re usually behind the scenes making sure everything looks exactly as you imagined. It’s one of those jobs nobody notices, until it doesn’t happen, and an unlit tapered candle just looks a bit sad,

10. To Pack Everything Up At The End

This may not be considered a real wedding issue, but this might be one of the most important jobs of all, especially for London and dry hire weddings! 

At midnight, when you’re dancing, celebrating and enjoying the final moments of your wedding, somebody still needs to think about the cards, gifts, guest book, leftover cake, signage, decor, flowers, and leftover favours. The random bits and pieces that you’ve spent months creating and planning, and then at the end of the day, are just there. But where does it need to go? What do you want to keep? Family members, with one too many drinks, are left to clear it up and be responsible for it all. Things get lost or forgotten and are put in a random place. We’ve even heard of cards and gifts going missing as well, which is really sad! 

But with a coordinator, these things are looked after, put in your room before the end of the night. All in one place, easy and ready for you to take home with you the next day. 

The Real Reason

The funny thing is that most couples don’t book an on the day coordinator because they think they’ll need someone to brush their hair, fix buttonholes or unblock toilets. They book us because they don’t want to spend their wedding day worrying, and that’s really what we’re there for. 

We’re not there to take over a venue and boss people around. This isn’t about stepping in and replanning because you’ve planned your wedding badly. Couples book us because weddings are full of moving parts, real issues, unexpected moments and hundreds of tiny jobs that nobody thinks about until the day arrives. And you only get one chance to experience your wedding day, so yes, you should be spending it drinking champagne, hugging your favourite people and making memories.

You shouldn’t be looking for a missing guest or worrying about suppliers arriving on time or wondering who is going to tidy the room at the end of the night – that’s our job!

Food

This has to be number 1 when it comes to key wedding elements!! Bad food?? People will be talking about this for years to come! We ALWAYS remember bad food! Not only bad food, but not enough food! So make sure you aren’t just going for the cheapest caterer, but making sure you are tasting their offering before you sign the contract, and checking those all-important testimonials.

It’s also key to think about timings. If you are getting married at 12/1pm, people will be leaving their houses or accommodation before lunch, so they are going to be very hungry when the drinks reception rolls around! So make sure you stock up on those canapes. And
yes! People do want them! We’ve even seen couples opt for charcuterie tables or ice cream vans instead of or alongside the canapes. Sweet tables are also always a hit!

Food is also a great place to add personality. Don’t just stick with a plated 3 course meal, with a crowd-pleasing menu, pick something that is you and that you love! If you have different cultures in your families, tie those in and add your family’s heritage into the menu. As a standard, you need to think about food during drinks reception, dinner and late-night snacks or evening food. Better to be over catered than under! People will never forget a wedding which has an endless supply of good food!

And please stop sitting guests down, then making them wait for food when they are hungry to do your speeches…..

Booze

There are various parts to this subject that come to mind which are key wedding elements. Having enough, having a good choice, cost, and just general bar logistics. So let’s start with having enough….perhaps your venue has this covered, but if you have decided to provide your own drinks, you must make sure you have enough bought for your catering or bar company to serve. If your venue or bar company is sorting, you will most likely be offered a drinks package, and this is key for your guest experience. Don’t offer them any drinks? They will remember this! The standard is a couple of drinks during the drink’s reception, half a bottle of wine per person, and a glass of fizz to toast. If you then decide to have a pay bar where guests buy their own drinks, at least you’ve covered their drinks during the day time.

Choice is also key on the bar, without feeling like you need to have too much selection! Cocktails are very popular right now and a crowd pleaser! Wine, a couple of beer options, a couple of spirit options, and a couple of cocktails works well.

Cost is vital and a key wedding element! I’ve been to some beautiful weddings, but the price of the bar is extortionate! This is what your guests remember and is all part of their experience! So make sure to check bar prices before confirming your bar company or venue!

Bar logistics are also a key wedding element. From how many staff so your guests aren’t queuing, to making you’re your bar company actually include glass collecting as a service (yes, this is a thing that some don’t offer!) so your venue isn’t full of dirty glasses on every surface!

Music/Entertainment

Bad DJ or band? Bad wedding vibes! You want someone who gets you, your vibe, and will keep people on the dancefloor! Entertainment is so important and is a key wedding element! Meet with your band or DJ before you book them, to really make sure they are going to provide what you are looking for. Make sure you are thinking through the full flow of the day, and putting in entertainment where needed. The drinks reception is a key time for entertainment, but it could just be something minor like lawn games, a photo booth, or food that is interactive. Even just
making sure you’ve curated a great playlist!

You Having A Good Time

This is also such a key wedding element, and one people rarely talk about. It may seem strange, but if you aren’t having a good time, or feel stressed, or you’re looking around the room trying to spot small details which aren’t going your way, guests will notice and it will
rub off on them!

My advice on this one? Make sure you have good suppliers, and put your trust in them to make sure the day runs as needed. Things such as timings will change on the day, but they
will amend as they see fit, as they are the professionals! A must have key wedding element is also a wedding co-ordinator. If you have a lot of moving parts to the day – going from venue to venue, or if you have a dry hire venue or a marquee on land, where there is no co-ordinator, this is a must have! The way we like to look at it is, not whether something goes wrong, but how prepared we are and how it can be handled in the moment. Let’s have a look at some of the most common wedding day hiccups, and what you can do to stay one step ahead!

Supplier Issues

Suppliers can arrive late, bring the wrong item, go to the wrong entrance or need clarification when they arrive. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does happen it can cause a knock on effect if we’re not managing it efficiently. You may also sometimes have some suppliers, like DJs, who need clear direction on timings or announcements.

The best way we can avoid stress here is to be prepared. You can do this by making sure every supplier has a clear timeline, full address and access details well in advance. You are best to send one final wedding plan to all suppliers together in one email, so they can also contact each other if needed. They should also have a contact number that is not yours! This could be a coordinator, a venue contact or someone you trust in your wedding party!

Confirm everything again in the lead up to the day. A quick check in prevents a lot of confusion on the day itself. However, if something does go off plan, keep communication simple and direct. Be clear about what is needed, where they should be and by when. Most issues can be resolved quickly when someone takes control early.

Timeline Delays

Delays are one of the most common issues on a wedding day. Sometimes hair and makeup can overrun, group photos take longer than expected, guests take time to move between spaces, and speeches almost always run longer than planned (we’re looking at you best men!). Trying to stick to a rigid timeline usually makes this feel more stressful than it needs to be. If every part of the day relies on the previous one finishing exactly on time, small delays quickly turn into bigger problems.

The key note here is building breathing room into your day from the start by avoiding planning things back to back or trying to fill every five minutes of the day. We like to call it buffer time! And it really helps to make the day flow. If things do start to run late, prioritise what actually matters. It is always better for your team of suppliers to adjust timings slightly, instead of rushing through something really important. And there is usually an opportunity later in the day where you can catch up where needed.

You also need to put your trust in your suppliers with the timeline. If the caterer says they need more time for dinner – listen! They also run weddings on a regular basis, so will know how to manage things on the day if timings are early or late – make them aware that you are happy for them to do what is needed.

Running out of alcohol

This happens more often than people expect, especially during the drinks reception or when couples are managing their own bar. Warm weather, longer gaps between food and drink, or underestimating quantities can all play a part. It is easy to assume people will drink at a steady pace, but in reality it often comes in waves. Guests tend to drink more straight after the ceremony and again later in the evening.

A large reason for running out of alcohol or drinks is because of you not knowing how much you need (and why would you?!) Have a proper conversation with your planner or caterer about realistic quantities based on your guest list and timings. They will have a good idea of what works. It is better to slightly over cater than run short. Especially if you have a larger guest list. If drinks do start to run low, it can usually be managed without it feeling obvious. You can reduce the menu, slow service slightly, or move guests on to the next part of the day earlier. Most guests will not notice if it is handled calmly.

Logistical problems

This is where most unexpected issues sit, and they can vary depending on what you have planned. You might have a wobbly dance floor, a marquee lining that needs securing, a dress that splits or a drink spilt on an outfit. Buttonholes can go missing, bouquets might not be quite what you expected, and transport might be late.

Weather is also another big factor, rain and wind can quickly affect outdoor plans, especially for ceremonies or drinks receptions. For marquee weddings, issues with generators, lighting or toilets can also come up. And these need quick decisions to keep everything running.

We can be really prepared here. If you are relying on transport, make sure it is confirmed properly and they have full timings and addresses. We would also advise for things such as marquees and toilets, that the suppliers are local, so if there are issues, they are nearby to fix them. You can also send a what3words pin to help avoid confusion! If you are planning anything outside, have a clear backup option or 2, and know where things can be moved if needed.

It’s helpful to have a small emergency kit to hand or in the bathrooms. With basics like safety pins, a sewing kit, clothing tape, stain remover wipes, plasters and tissues solves most small issues quickly. 

If something does go wrong though, most of these issues are fixable with quick, practical decisions. Adjust some timings, move things if needed and focus on keeping guests comfortable rather than sticking rigidly to the original plan.

Guest related situations

We all know that weddings bring together different families, friendship groups and personalities. So things can come up naturally. Guests may drink more than planned, or family tensions can surface, or someone may feel unwell due to the heat, nerves or the pace of the day. Emotional conversations also sometimes happen at the wrong time, even when everyone has the best intentions!

Think ahead about your guest list and whether there are any sensitivities to be aware of, and making sure someone you trust knows about them. On the day, most situations can be managed quietly if they are handled early on. If someone needs space, give it to them. If you need space, make eye contact with your planner or coordinator – we know how to swiftly move you away without raising suspicion! The sooner things are addressed, the less likely they are to affect the wider atmosphere of the party.

No wedding day is perfect, and it doesn’t need to be. The best weddings are the ones where things are handled calmly and the focus stays on the experience, not the small issues happening in the background. Don’t focus on them and just let them be handled. If you go into the day expecting a few small hiccups and feeling prepared for them, everything becomes much easier to manage.

And most of the time, your guests will never notice a thing!

From early morning setup to the final pack down at the end of the night, your wedding day has a lot to be managed behind the scenes! If it’s done well, you won’t notice a thing. It will just feel easy, calm, and exactly how you hoped it would. So here’s a little look at what’s really going on and what you need our help with.

What’s Really Happening Throughout Your Wedding Day

Your wedding day doesn’t just start when you wake up. For your planner or coordinator, it usually begins hours earlier. We’re often one of the first people on site, walking into an empty venue that will soon be completely transformed. Often, tables are bare, chairs are stacked, and there’s not a flower in sight yet. It’s quiet, calm, and full of potential.

From that moment, everything starts to build. Suppliers begin arriving one by one. Florists, caterers, stylists, entertainment, lighting. Each one has a role to play, and it’s our job to make sure they all slot together seamlessly. This is where supplier coordination really comes into its own. We’re managing arrival times, directing setup locations, answering questions, and keeping everything running to schedule.

If you’re having a marquee wedding, this becomes even more important. You’re essentially building a venue from the ground up, so everything from power and lighting to catering setups and furniture needs to be carefully timed and managed. There are a lot more moving parts, but when it all comes together, it’s completely worth it and creates something really special.

All of this is happening while the space is being transformed around us. Watching it come together is honestly one of the best parts of the day, seeing a blank canvas slowly turn into your vision.

What do I do in the morning if I have a wedding coordinator or a planner?

Honestly, very little. And that’s exactly the point. Your morning should feel calm, relaxed, and exciting. You should be getting ready, having a drink with your bridesmaids, maybe listening to music, soaking it all in. Want to read more on how to relax during your wedding morning? Read on here!

While you’re doing that, we’re already managing the logistics. We’re checking the setup, confirming supplier arrivals, handling any last minute questions, and making sure everything is exactly where it needs to be. If anything needs your input, we’ll come to you. Otherwise, you can stay fully present in your morning without being pulled into decisions or distractions. It’s about giving you that headspace so you can actually enjoy it.

How is a ceremony set up?

Ceremony setup is always more detailed than people expect. Chairs need to be perfectly aligned, aisles measured, flowers placed with intention, ceremony seating cards displayed, registrars or celebrants briefed, music cues confirmed and ready. Probably a lot more than you thought!

We’re there making sure every element is in the right place, both practically and visually. It’s not just about how it looks, it’s about how it flows, where people will stand, how guests will enter, and how you will walk down the aisle. There are also lots of final touches happening at this point. Buttonholes are being handed out. Bouquets are arriving. Reserved signs are being placed. It all comes together quite quickly, but there is a lot of thought behind it.

How is a dinner reception set up?

While your ceremony is taking place, or sometimes even earlier in the day, the dining space is being completely transformed. Tables are laid with linens, glassware, crockery, stationery. Place settings are checked and rechecked. Candles are lit at the right moment and florals are positioned just right. Linen being steamed and looking on point is also a key factor here, along with cutlery being polished and chairs being in line.

This is where logistics management really matters. Caterers need access at the right time. Furniture needs to be in place before styling can begin. Timing is everything. We’re working closely with all suppliers here to make sure the room feels cohesive and ready, without anything feeling rushed or out of place. And then there’s always that moment where we step back, look at the room, and know it’s exactly what you imagined.

What happens at the end of the night?

While you’re on the dance floor, enjoying the last part of your day, we’re still quietly working in the background. We’re coordinating taxis, checking timings for transport, making sure personal items are collected and kept safe. We’re also beginning the pack-down process with suppliers, ensuring everything is handled correctly. Decor is carefully taken down. Gifts and cards are gathered. Any hired items are accounted for.

It’s not glamorous, but it’s important. And it means that when you leave, you can just leave. No worrying about what needs to be done or where anything is.

What happens if there is an unexpected weather change on the wedding day?

Ah, the British weather. Always keeping things interesting. This is where having a plan really matters. Most weddings will have a wet-weather option in place, and we’re always keeping a close eye on forecasts leading up to the day. We are also ready for any crazy hot weather that we are sometimes blessed with! Getting the room cooled where possible and setting up water stations.

If a change needs to happen, we handle it. Whether that’s moving a ceremony indoors, adjusting timings, or reworking parts of the setup, it’s all about making the transition feel smooth and intentional. Guests often won’t even realise a change has been made. It just feels like part of the plan.

How do wedding coordinators manage unexpected issues on the day?

Short answer, quietly of course! Long answer, with a lot of experience, quick thinking, and calm energy. Unexpected issues do happen. A supplier runs late. A button pops off a dress. A table plan needs tweaking. Something doesn’t arrive as planned. This is where troubleshooting becomes a big part of the role. We’re constantly scanning for potential problems before they become actual problems. And if something does happen at your wedding, we deal with it behind the scenes. You won’t see the problem, only the solution.

One of the biggest parts of the job is keeping you calm and present. You should never feel the weight of what’s happening in the background. That’s what we’re there for.

We’re also doing the bits you really don’t want to be doing, picking up litter, vacuuming the carpets, steaming linens, moving furniture, and the phone calls! We get loads of phone calls from suppliers, where can they park, where is the Bride, they’re running late, they’re running early – just even their ETA, don’t get me wrong, keeping us up to date is great, but it’s not something you need to be worrying about at all!

If you’re still not sure what we might actually do on a wedding day other than manage the tieline and make sure everything looks pretty, here are a few examples of the real fires we’ve had to deal with over the years. Toilets, if you’re having a marquee wedding and hiring toilets, there will generally be a hiccup somewhere, like running out of water, the flush not working, the lights not working, running out of toilet roll, just to start.

Generators failing, running out of diesel, power outages and kitchens not being able to use ovens, buses not turning up at the right place or the right time, suppliers late or not turning up at all! Running out of booze, and having to do a Tesco run, speeches running over and timings going awry. These are all real events that have happened, and what Bride and Groom want to deal with that!

What goes into the timeline for suppliers?

Your wedding timeline is so much more than just ceremony and speeches. It’s a detailed schedule that maps out the entire day, often down to the minute. Supplier arrivals, set up times, transitions between spaces, food service, entertainment cues. We build this timeline to make sure everything flows naturally, without feeling rushed or disjointed.

Each supplier has their own requirements, and it’s our job to bring all of those together into one cohesive plan. It’s a bit like a puzzle, making sure every piece fits. On the day, we’re managing that timeline in real time, adjusting where needed, keeping everything on track, and making sure you never feel like you’re being rushed from one moment to the next, and also not making you feel like you need to keep an eye on the time.

The part you don’t see, but you can feel it!

The best way to describe behind the scenes on a wedding day is this. If everything feels calm, smooth, and effortless, then a lot is happening in the background. From supplier co-ordination and logistics, to final details and troubleshooting, it’s all about creating a day where you can be fully present, where you’re not worrying about what’s next or what might go wrong. I’m all for having a friend or family member as your wedding officiant – we actually did this as my own wedding! However, asking a friend to officiate does come with a few extra considerations. Unlike a professional celebrant or registrar, they may not have experience in structuring a ceremony, writing a script or managing the flow of the moment in front of a large group of guests.

Can A Friend Officiate A Wedding In The UK?

One of the first things couples need to know is that a ceremony officiated by a friend isn’t legally binding in the UK. In order to be legally married, the ceremony must be conducted by an authorised registrar or celebrant at a licensed venue.

Because of this, couples who choose to have a friend officiate their wedding will usually complete the legal part separately at a registry office. This can be done days or even weeks before the wedding itself, or even afterwards. Many couples keep the legal ceremony simple and private (which is also much lower cost!), then treat the wedding ceremony with their guests as the meaningful celebration. You can book for a short ceremony at a registry office for the couple + 2 witnesses in the UK for around the £50 mark, depending on location, plus the cost of marriage certificates and notice of marriage fees. While it may seem like an extra step, it also gives you more flexibility. Without the legal requirements in place, you can design your ceremony in any way you like. So, yes, a friend can officiate your wedding, but it won’t be legal.

Choose The Right Person to Officiate Your Wedding

When deciding who to ask, it’s important to think beyond simply choosing someone who is important to you. The person leading your ceremony will also need to be comfortable speaking in front of a group and confident enough to lead the ceremony, keeping everyone tuned in.

A great officiant is someone who feels relaxed speaking publicly, can project their voice clearly and is willing to help with writing and planning the ceremony beforehand. They should also be organised enough to stick to a script and keep the ceremony flowing smoothly.

This doesn’t mean they need to be a natural performer, but they should feel comfortable standing in front of your guests and speaking clearly. A confident and prepared officiant will make the ceremony feel far more relaxed and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Write the Ceremony Script Together

One of the most important things you can do when asking a friend to officiate your wedding is to plan the ceremony script together. Without any guidance at all, it can be difficult for someone to know exactly what to say or how long the ceremony should be.

Working together allows you to shape the tone and structure of the ceremony so it reflects you both as a couple. If you would still like some parts to be a surprise, you can give your officiant notes on what you would like them to include rather than writing every word yourself. For example, you might ask them to share a particular story or reflect on certain moments in your relationship while keeping the exact wording a surprise. Also give them timings for each section, so you can make sure it keeps to schedule. Planning your ceremony script together ensures the ceremony still feels personal while keeping everything structured.

Use Ceremony Templates Or Professional Guidance

Writing a ceremony from scratch can feel surprisingly daunting, especially for someone who has never done it before. Many couples find it helpful to use an online ceremony template as a starting point. Templates provide a clear structure that helps guide the flow of the ceremony. From there, you can personalise each section so it reflects your relationship and your personalities. You can find templates online or use an AI system to assist.

Some professional celebrants also offer services where they help couples write their ceremony script even if they aren’t officiating on the day. This can be a useful option if you want expert guidance while still having a friend lead the ceremony.

Whichever route you choose, it’s best to ensure the entire ceremony is written and planned rather than delivered off the cuff. When people feel nervous, improvising can lead to awkward pauses, timing issues or sections running much longer than expected.

Keep the Ceremony To The Right Length

Timing is another area where friend-led ceremonies can sometimes go wrong. Without planning, ceremonies can either be far too short or unexpectedly long. I’ve seen ceremonies that lasted only five minutes because nothing had been prepared, and others that ran far beyond what guests expected because the officiant didn’t realise how long they were speaking once they were nervous.

A good guideline is to aim for a ceremony lasting somewhere between 20 and 30 minutes. This length gives you enough time to include meaningful elements without losing the attention of your guests. When writing your script, reading it out loud and timing it can be incredibly helpful. This gives you a much clearer sense of how the ceremony will actually feel on the day.

Add Readings To Bring In Different Voices

Including readings within your ceremony is a lovely way to add variety and involve other important people in the day. When one person speaks for the entire ceremony it can start to feel quite long, so bringing in different voices helps maintain interest.

Friends or family members might read a favourite poem, a passage from a book, or something meaningful that reflects your relationship. These moments help create a richer and more engaging ceremony, while also allowing other loved ones to play a special role in the day.

Decide What Type Of Wedding Vows You Want

Because your ceremony won’t be the legal marriage, you have complete flexibility when it comes to your vows. Some couples choose to write and read personal vows to each other during the ceremony. Others prefer something simpler, where the officiant reads statements and each partner responds with “I do” or “I will”.

This is something you should decide together before speaking with your officiant so they know how to structure that section of the ceremony. There is no right or wrong option. What matters most is choosing something that feels comfortable and meaningful for you both.

Think About A Ceremony Signing Moment

Even though your ceremony won’t include the legal signing of a marriage certificate, some couples still like to include a symbolic signing as part of the ceremony. This can replicate the feeling of a traditional wedding moment and also creates a natural pause in the ceremony. Some couples sign a decorative certificate or keepsake while music plays in the background. At my officiant led wedding ceremony, we had our vows written and framed, which were placed on an easel, which we both signed, and we had two ‘witnesses’ also sign.

It’s entirely optional, but it can be a nice way to add another meaningful moment if you would like the ceremony to feel closer to a traditional structure. It’s also a nice memento to keep after the day.

Plan The Logistics For Your Officiant

Because your officiant isn’t experienced in running ceremonies, it’s helpful to include logistical cues within the script itself. This helps guide them through the flow of the moment. For example, you can include notes on when the couple will walk down the aisle and when the first kiss will take place. These small cues allow the officiant to step slightly to the side so they aren’t blocking the moment in photos. Planning these details in advance prevents awkward positioning, annoying your photographer and ensures everything runs smoothly.

Don’t Forget The Practical Details

There are also a few practical considerations that can make a big difference on the day.

If your ceremony is outdoors, it’s best for your officiant to avoid using a phone or tablet to read the script. Bright sunlight can create glare on screens, making them difficult to read, and phones don’t always look great in photos. Printed cards or a neatly printed script are usually a much better option.

Sound is another important factor, particularly for outdoor ceremonies. Even someone with a strong voice can struggle to be heard by a large group in an open space. Hiring microphones through your production company ensures all guests can clearly hear the ceremony.

You may also want to include a note in the script asking guests to be seated at the beginning of the ceremony. Without this prompt, it’s surprisingly common for guests to remain standing throughout the whole ceremony! (This did actually happen at my ceremony – we completely forgot to add this note in! It was fine though!)

Some couples also like to include a request for an unplugged ceremony, asking guests to put away their phones and cameras so they can be fully present in the moment, so decide if this is something you would like your officiant to mention.

Plan Your Aisle Exit And Confetti Moment

Finally, think about how your ceremony will end. Many couples choose to have their confetti moment as they walk back down the aisle together.

If this is something you would like to include, it’s helpful to build it into the ceremony script so your officiant can advise guests to move into the aisle to throw confetti before you exit. A clear ending and announcement from your officiant also helps create a smooth transition from ceremony to celebration.

Having a friend officiate your wedding can create a ceremony that feels incredibly personal. From personal experience, having a friend officiate our wedding was one of the most memorable parts. Guests still talk about it now. When someone who knows you both well stands up and tells your story, it adds a layer of warmth that is difficult to replicate in any other way. When done well, it often becomes one of the most memorable parts of the entire wedding day.

What’s the difference between a venue coordinator and a private wedding coordinator?

A venue coordinator works for the venue. Their priority is the building, the staff, and the service being delivered within that space. Part of their role includes managing catering (if it’s in-house), overseeing the bar, coordinating the room set up, and making sure the venue runs according to its timings and policies. They know the venue inside out, and they are brilliant at what they do.

A private wedding coordinator works for you.

Our role is to look at the entire wedding day as a whole. We step in during the final weeks before the wedding, take over supplier communication, create a detailed timeline, and make sure every moving part connects smoothly. We are thinking about the full experience, from the morning preparations right through to the first dance.

The simplest way to say it is this. A venue coordinator manages the venue. A private coordinator manages the wedding.

What is the role of a venue coordinator?

A venue coordinator ensures everything included within your venue package is delivered as agreed. By managing staff, catering schedules, bar service, room turns, and health and safety, while acting as the main point of contact for anything venue-related, and keeping operations running behind the scenes.

Most venue packages don’t include styling personal decor items brought in by the couple, external supplier management, or logistics that sit outside of the venue’s responsibilities, and this is often where expectations can quietly misalign. A venue coordinator’s role really can vary, and it’s always really important as a couple to ensure that you have a conversation with your venue, so you know what is and isn’t included.

What does a private wedding coordinator actually do?

A private wedding coordinator fills in those gaps. We are hands-on, practical, and calm. We sign for deliveries, so you don’t have to worry about flowers or decor items arriving while you are getting ready. We check everything against your plan and make sure it is placed exactly where it should be.

Alongside setting out place cards, light candles, style personal decor, lay out children’s activities, and make sure everyone knows who needs to be where and when. If it matters to you, it matters to us. We cue and play ceremony music so there is no last-minute panic. We gather the wedding party at the right time. We keep an eye on timings so nothing feels rushed or forgotten. And yes, we will straighten chairs, fix uneven tables, quietly adjust a room so it feels just right, and even sometimes steam linens! These little things make a big difference to how polished and effortless everything feels.

Our job is to notice what needs doing before it becomes obvious and take care of it without pulling you away from the moment. We handle last-minute challenges calmly and quietly, so you never feel them.

Do I need a coordinator if I am planning a wedding at home?

This is where a private wedding coordinator becomes invaluable. If you are getting married on your own land, at a family home, in a marquee, or at a venue without an in-house coordinator, there is no one naturally overseeing the logistics. You don’t have a built-in team managing supplier arrivals, timings, power access, room transitions, or guest flow.

The same goes for if your ceremony is at a different location from your reception. Who is there early to meet the celebrant? Who is cueing the music? Who is coordinating guests, transport, and the move between venues? Who ensures drinks are ready the moment guests arrive?

Without a private coordinator, that responsibility often lands on a family member or a member of the wedding party, the people who should be present with you, not managing the logistics.

A real wedding moment

Recently, I (Chloe) was a bridesmaid for one of my best friends. It was a stunning venue, and the couple assumed certain details would naturally be handled because there was a venue wedding coordinator in place. The day didn’t unfold the way the bride had planned.

The venue did not want to set out the seating place cards, or the candles and decor the bride had carefully chosen for the ceremony. They were also refusing to play the ceremony music, and expected someone from the bridal party to do it, which was only mentioned as we were getting ready to walk down the aisle.

No one put out the children’s games and activities, snacks for the drinks reception stayed in storage, the team hadn’t prepared the drinks in time for the end of the ceremony for the drinks reception, the cake knife went missing, and arrived late, which pushed back the cake cutting and then the first dance.

None of it was intentional. It simply was not considered a priority, or what was considered to be part of their role.

At the same time, the venue wedding coordinator was also managing the wider venue operations. Even though the only guests present were wedding guests, their attention and priorities were divided. Communication in the lead-up had also been patchy, the bride had sent the details, but the venue later said they hadn’t received them.

As a bridesmaid, I stepped in where I could, but I was there to support my friend, not to manage the timeline. That is the quiet difference having a private coordinator makes.

Do coordinators handle guest issues?

Yes, but in different ways. A venue coordinator will usually deal with questions that relate directly to the venue, such as room service, room reservations, and maybe support with sourcing a taxi.

That’s where your private wedding coordinator becomes the go-to person for everything else. Timing questions, supplier arrivals, lost place cards, family queries. Guests know exactly who to speak to, and it is never you!

Your engagement ring and wedding rings might feel like a “done” cost, but there’s often more to factor in.

Many engagement rings need resizing, and wedding bands often need adjusting too. On top of that, you will also need to have your engagement ring professionally cleaned before the wedding so they look their best in photographs, and also because the colour of the metal will have changed over time and you don’t want it to look different next to your shiny new wedding day!

Stationery doesn’t stop at design and printing. Postage is a huge wedding budget blind spot, especially if your invitations are heavier, include wax seals, or require large letter postage. Stamps alone can add up surprisingly fast. RSVP cards, additional inserts and international postage can push this even higher, so it’s essential your wedding budget includes delivery, not just design.

Accessories: Veils, Jewellery, Perfume, Bridal Underwear/Shapewear & Bags

Accessories often get left until later in the planning process, which is exactly when decision fatigue kicks in.

Veils, hair accessories, jewellery, wedding-day perfume, handbags and “just in case” extras often get bought quickly, sometimes in multiples when you decide you no longer like something, and not always returned. We find this especially happens in those final dress fittings, when you’re in the shop with lots of lovely optional extras around you, and it can all easily add up! Those skims you want aren’t cheap!

Thank You Gifts

Thank you gifts for bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents and special family members are rarely skipped, but they’re often forgotten when couples first create their wedding budget. Even smaller gifts, such as bridesmaid PJs and gift boxes, add up quickly when you’re buying for several people. It’s much easier to plan for these costs early than to squeeze them in later.

Beauty Appointments Outside Your Normal Routine

If you normally have regular nails, hair appointments or skincare treatments, those costs are probably already part of your monthly spending. But weddings often prompt extra beauty expenses, whether it’s hair colour changes, extensions, facials, skincare regimes or additional treatments you wouldn’t normally have. Anything that’s outside your usual routine should be included in your wedding budget, otherwise it becomes an unexpected extra.

Wedding Shoes (and Second Shoes)

Shoes deserve their own line in your wedding budget. Between bridal shoes, men’s formal shoes, matching footwear for the wedding party and second shoes for the evening (trainers, sandals or flats), this category grows quickly. Many couples also underestimate how rarely wedding shoes are worn again, making it even more important to plan this spend thoughtfully and not just on a whim in the bridal shop!

Legal Costs: Notice of Marriage & Name Changes

Notice of marriage appointments currently cost £42 per person as of 2026, and they’re a compulsory legal requirement. After the wedding, costs associated with name changes (especially a new passport if you want it in your married name for the honeymoon!) often land when couples assume spending has finished. These admin costs are still part of your overall wedding budget.

Hen & Stag Dos

Even when friends organise your hen or stag do, you’ll usually have your own costs to cover – travel, accommodation, outfits, meals and activities. These events happen during your wedding planning, which is why they need to be budgeted from the start, and you also then have a good figure in mind to give to whoever is planning it for you.

Bridal Extras & Personalised Items

Bride jumpers, honeymoon Mr and Mrs hats, personalised pyjamas, glasses, robes, morning-of accessories – you’ve seen it all on Pinterest right?! And they are items which are very easy to impulse buy. They look small individually, but together they can quietly eat into your wedding budget if you’re not careful. Decide what you ACTUALLY want, budget for it, and stick to it.

Transport (Especially Taxis)

Couples often remember to budget for wedding cars or coaches when they are needed, but forget taxis. Taxis for you, your wedding party, suppliers, or late-night travel can add up quickly, particularly in cities or remote venues. It’s almost an afterthought – “oh, we aren’t bothered about wedding cars, we will just hop in a taxi”, but that taxi is actually £30, for example, and you need two on the way there, and one on the way back, so that’s £90 you need to find.

It’s a lovely tradition, but one that needs a clear place in your wedding budget rather than becoming a last-minute spend, or something you can’t then afford but really want to do.

Bar Tabs & Drinks Extras

Even if you’re not planning a full open bar, couples often add money behind the bar, pay for welcome drinks, or settle final bar invoices after the wedding. Because these costs often arrive after the day, they’re frequently missing from the original wedding budget. It’s very easy during your final planning meetings with your venue or caterer, to say oh yes actually, let’s add some extra drinks, but then when the bill comes, it pushes you over budget.

Honeymoon Clothes, Suitcases, Pet Sitting & Accessories

Most couples budget for the honeymoon itself, but forget the extras. New outfits, swimwear, luggage, passport holders and accessories all tend to be bought in the run-up to the wedding and can easily add several hundred pounds to your wedding budget. Don’t forget pets too. Everyone will be at the wedding, and where are your pets then off to while you’re on honeymoon? Plan this is advance and account for this cost.

Extra Events Around the Wedding

Pre-wedding dinners, family lunches, post wedding brunches or casual breakfasts all count. These events feel informal, but during an already expensive period, they can place unexpected pressure on your wedding budget if you haven’t planned ahead.

Supplier Meals

If suppliers are with you all day (planners, photographers, videographers, band members) meals are often required and sometimes contractually stipulated. These costs frequently appear on final catering or venue invoices, which is why they should be accounted for in your wedding budget early.

Final Supplier Add-Ons

This is one of the biggest wedding budget traps. Final meetings often lead to small additions: extra buttonholes, additional florals, more styling items, extra hair and makeup services. Each individual add-on feels minor, but together they can significantly increase supplier invoices. Make sure you are accurate when initially getting a quote, and stick to your original plans. If you decided your tow 5-year-old nieces aren’t having their hair done, stick to that decision and don’t just add them on on a whim at the final stages.

Alterations & Post-Wedding Cleaning

Dress alterations, suit tailoring and bridesmaid adjustments are often underestimated. After the wedding, professional cleaning, especially for wedding dresses if your plan was to get it sold, can be £150–£200+, and it happens at a point when couples expect spending to be over, especially if you are looking to claw that money back, or put your dress to good use for something else, instead of hanging in the wardrobe, still with mud from the lawns on the bottom of it for the next however long! The longer you leave it, the harder it is to get these stains out.

Printed Items & Orders of Service

Orders of service is a general church requirement. You may also need additional signage and other print items such as bar menus and directional signage, and are often flagged late in the planning process. They’re easy to overlook but should still be part of your wedding budget, so think through what you will need now.

DIY & “Little Bits”

Second-hand finds, décor items, baskets, blankets, flip-flops, signage, personalised ring boxes – all look great on Pinterest, all tempting, all cumulative. If you know you enjoy browsing Facebook Marketplace or Etsy, give yourself a fixed allowance in your wedding budget and stick to it. Some people even start buying, click, click, click, and by the time of the wedding, forget what they actually bought!

Wedding Albums & Prints

Many couples plan for photography but forget albums. Wedding albums often cost £300–£500+ each, and they’re rarely purchased immediately due to this cost, which is why they need forward planning within your wedding budget if you are wanting to make the most out of your photos after the wedding is done.

Food & Drinks While Getting Ready

Breakfasts, snacks, drinks, fruit, juices and nibbles for the wedding morning add up fast, especially if you’re catering for several people.

Accommodation Extras

Whether you need additional rooms for partners, wedding party members or nights before and after the wedding, make sure these are accounted for and booked in advance.

Ceremony Chairs & Logistics

Outdoor ceremonies often require additional chair hire or labour to move chairs between spaces, something couples don’t always realise until logistics meetings.

Welcome Bags & Thank You Cards

You’ve seen the hangover kits and welcome bags on Tiktok – they are a great touch, but they scale quickly with guest numbers and need a place in your wedding budget.

Where else could we possibly begin but with what was arguably the most extravagant celebrity wedding of the 2025?! Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez said their vows during a lavish, three-day celebration in Venice. Their ceremony took place on the breathtaking island of San Giorgio Maggiore, which the couple hired exclusively for the occasion. Naturally, the guest list was a who’s who of global powerhouses, with icons like Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates reportedly in attendance.

Lauren Sánchez stole the show in a couture gown adorned with 180 silk chiffon–covered priest buttons, a dress fit for a royal wedding. Yet perhaps the most jaw-dropping detail of all was the wedding cake which was crafted by the legendary Parisian pastry mastermind Cédric Grolet. Rumour has it the cake might be the most expensive wedding cake ever created – we can only imagine!

Becca Bloom and David Pownall

TikTok sensation Rebecca Ma – known online as Becca Bloom – married software engineer David Pownall in a wedding that looked straight out of a modern fairytale. Set against the dreamy backdrop of Lake Como, their summer celebration gave undeniable Crazy Rich Asians energy, combining whimsical romance with jaw-dropping luxury.

The ceremony featured spectacular towering floral installations, a mirrored aisle reflecting the shimmering lake views and spectacular bursts of colourful smoke cannons that transformed the setting into something almost cinematic. Even the rain, because, of course, Lake Como loves a dramatic moment couldn’t dull the magic. If anything, it added to the atmosphere, making for photos so beautiful they’ll likely serve as huge wedding inspo for years to come.

Georgia Toffolo and James Watt

From lavish floral arrangements to supermarket daffodils, Georgia Toffolo’s wedding plans and comments caused quite the stir. If any celebrity wedding 2025 gave us a wedding with personality, it was this one! Georgia Toffolo’s big day sparked headlines, memes and admiration in equal measure. The reality star kept things spontaneous, reportedly telling guests to join only “if you can get here within 48 hours.” From there, the chaos and the charm began.

On her way to the ceremony, she allegedly grabbed supermarket daffodils to use as flowers, and her cake was rumoured to be a last-minute DIY creation. The photos the couple shared were wonderfully unconventional: the groom wearing fishing waders and Georgia posing in a cream, off-the-shoulder fleece while clutching freshly caught lobsters. Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco said “I do” in a beautifully intimate California ceremony this September. The couple both wore custom Ralph Lauren ensembles, blending timeless elegance with effortless modern romance. Their guest list was, unsurprisingly full of music icons with Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran reportedly giving speeches during their celebration. 

And if the speeches weren’t iconic enough, the ring bearer was none other than Martin Short. Yes, that Martin Short. The blend of classic style, star-studded storytelling, and celebrity sparkle made their wedding truly unforgettable.

Dani Dyer and Jarrod Bowen

In May, Dani Dyer and footballer Jarrod Bowen tied the knot at the stunning Langley Hotel in Buckinghamshire. Their celebration oozed elegance, intimacy and was a true family affair. One of the most touching details? Dani’s father, Danny Dyer, walking her proudly down the aisle. Their children served as flower girls and page boy and the photos are absolutely stunning! 

The dreamy white Hydrangeas and roses helped created a hugely romantic vibe and the dreamy outdoor scenery gave the event an almost Bridgerton-esque charm – we are obsessed! This absolutely picturesque wedding is one we will remember for a long time.

Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer

Kristen Stewart and screenwriter Dylan Meyer opted for something entirely different and entirely them. The couple married over Easter weekend in an ultra-private celebration that unfolded partly at their Los Angeles home and partly at their favourite Mexican restaurant. The vibe? Relaxed, heartfelt, and effortlessly cool.

The wedding looks were some of the trendiest of the year: a sheer silk mini dress paired with a chic tweed set. No veils, no bouquets, and no bridesmaids just authenticity, comfort, and style. It’s the kind of wedding that proves simplicity can be just as striking as extravagance. This wedding could not have suited them as a couple more! 

 
Demi Lovato and Jordan Lutes

From one California celebration to another! Demi Lovato and Jordan Lutes embraced full glamour, wearing not one but three spectacular outfits throughout their Santa Barbara wedding weekend. Demi stunned in two custom Vivienne Westwood gowns before changing into a tailored Lapointe suit that turned heads.

Their wedding included a rehearsal dinner, a romantic ceremony, and arguably the highlight being a special live performance by The Goo Goo Dolls. The couple’s first dance was choreographed and performed live by the band, making the moment unforgettable.

The Sex and the City star married her longtime partner in an intimate ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall. Just 12 guests attended the beautifully private celebration. The bride stunned in a classic Dior suit perfectly suited to the venue, while her new husband looked dapper in a custom Richard James design.

Reflecting on their relationship, Sarah once said, “We’ve been together almost 10 years now, and we’ve had a blast.” The couple first met in 2016 when she appeared on BBC Radio 4 and they clearly never looked back. A heart-warming love story to end a year of fabulous weddings!

And we had to save a special mention for one of our very own! This year, Sophie from our team married her now-husband Rhys at the enchanting Lapstone Barn in the Cotswolds. Their countryside celebration was the epitome of fairytale romance, complete with breathtaking florals, twinkling fairy lights and subtle touches of Disney magic woven throughout.

After getting engaged on April Fools’ Day we are so happy to see the pair start their happily ever after! Surrounded by close family and friends this was a true love story come to life and we can’t wait to see more countryside fairytale weddings like this!
